The Yard Goats trailed 3-0 in the sixth inning before Rockies top prospect Adael Amador hit his first home run in his first game in Hartford. Amador then tied the game on a sacrifice fly in the ninth inning.

The Flying Squirrels scored the first run of the game in the third inning on an RBI single by Brady Whalen off Hartford starter Connor Van Scoyoc. Richmond made it 3-0 on Jimmy Glowenke’s two-run homer in the fourth inning. Van Scoyoc turned in a solid start, going six innings and allowing three runs with a walk and five strikeouts.

The Yard Goats got a run in the sixth inning as Adael Amador smashed a solo home run into the second deck in right field to make it a 3-1 game off reliever Will Jenson. Braxton Fulford made it 3-2 when he led off the eighth inning with a home run, his second of the season.

Hartford was down 3-2 in the ninth inning. Julio Carreras began the rally with a four-pitch walk. Warming Bernabel was then hit by a pitch, putting runners at first and second.
